CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL CONCERTS

On December 6thVictoria Luperi went to Children’s Hospital of UPMC for five bedside presentations. Victoria also donated a signed copy of the book used at the Tiny Tots Concert to the library at the Hospital. 

YOGA, ART, FIDDLESTICKS GALA

PSO staff met last week with the Carnegie Museum of Art to secure programming for three yoga sessions this winter and three in-gallery performances for the spring Enlightenment exhibit. Also, we are planning our 25th Anniversary Fiddlesticks Gala on March 10th.  We outlined stations and activities for the Gala at our recent visit to the Carnegie Science Center.

RELAUNCHING THE HILL DISTRICT PARTNERSHIP

 Invitations were sent out this week for a Meet and Greet Reception on December 11th to relaunch our partnership with the Hill District and to announce the January 20th concert “Lift Every Voice: Resounding Music, Arts, and Legacy”.  This concert will feature the world premiere of the August Wilson Symphony, a five-part symphony in tribute to Pittsburgh’s iconic playwright August Wilson. Phylicia Rashad will be our celebrity host and narrator. Tickets are now on sale for the concert. Help us spread the word!  (Flyer is attached!)
